SUBSTANCE: catalyst containing 3-41 wt % cupric oxide and 59-67 wt % alumina is prepared by mixing aqueous solutions of cupric nitrate, aluminum nitrate, and ammonium carbonate followed by filtration of suspension, washing and granulation of resulting paste, drying, and grinding of granules into powder.
