FIELD: navigation under ice conditions. SUBSTANCE: submarine ship runs under ice at resonance speed exciting flexural gravitational waves; ship has positive buoyancy at this time and fairwater diving planes and aft planes are put to negative angles of attack for holding ship at preset depth. Positive buoyancy is imparted through discharge of ballast from main ballast tanks, regulating tanks, emergency tanks, compensating tanks. Buoyancy force is brought to zero by turning the planes and by ballast, as a result, resistance of water to ship's motion increases, thus increasing height of waves and enhancing efficiency of ice breaking. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
