FIELD: navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to navigation in ice conditions. Essence of invention consists in excitation of flexural-gravity waves in ice when underwater ship under ice moves at resonant speed. During movement of ship, its hinge and stern horizontal rudders are periodically shifted to positive and negative angles of attack in antiphase relative to each other with frequency of resonance flexural-gravity waves. Pitching moments arising at that are canceled due the ballast tanks.
EFFECT: enabling increase in the ice cover destruction efficiency.
