FIELD: navigation in ice conditions.
SUBSTANCE: essence of invention consists in excitation of bending gravity waves in ice when underwater ship under ice moves with resonant speed. During movement, the ship is given negative buoyancy, and shifting the hull and stern horizontal rudders by positive angles of attack periodically with frequency of resonance bending gravity waves for a period of time equal to half of their period.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of ice breaking.
