FIELD: medicine, obstetrics. SUBSTANCE: one should determine the prognostic risk factors of disease development, they are: cholecystic diseases in a pregnant woman, her profession and occupation, hepatic diseases in her close relatives, painful menstruations, ecologically unfavorable region, the use of alcohol, hormonal contraception, gastrointestinal diseases in her relatives, maternal risk factors; according to these risk factors one should determine the codes and corresponding coefficients of classification functions; according to the formulas one should calculate two classification functions to compare them and at f1>f2 the development of hepatosis is predicted. The method enables to improve efficiency of curativeprophylactic measures due to correct prescription of therapy. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 tbl
