FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to obstetrics, and can be used for prediction of blood loss in women with premature detachment of normally located placenta. Thrombocyte count, Quick prothrombin, thrombin time, fibrinogen are determined. Expected blood loss in women is calculated by original formula (VolBloodloss). If the calculated value of VolBloodloss is more than or equal to 1,000 ml, then the massive blood loss is predicted in the patient, and if the calculated value of VolBloodloss is less than 1,000 ml, the absence of massive blood loss is predicted.

EFFECT: method, due to easy-to-implement technique and minimum required amount of analysed material, allows to optimize obstetric approach and intensive therapy, which provides reduction of maternal morbidity and mortality.
