FIELD: automatic equipment for cable production. SUBSTANCE: regulation and control device has optical measuring instrument, data processing circuit with microprocessor and outside control unit. Microprocessor accepts and retrieves data delivered by optical measuring instrument for determining position of wire member and its real-time mechanical vibratory behavior before it is wound onto main cable. Programming is provided so as to generate self-correction function with regard to deviation of data as to position and vibrations of wire member. First engine, second engine and mechanical tightening device are regulated for resetting optimal operation of machine unit. EFFECT: increased efficiency by automation of general-purpose apparatus characterized by several kinds of operations and different operating modes. 7 dwg
