CYCLONE-TYPE DUST COLLECTOR FOR VACUUM CLEANER Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: vacuum cleaner has casing, suction brush attached to casing through extensible tube and flexible hose, and cyclone-type dust collector adapted for collecting large-sized garbage particles from air drawn into vacuum cleaner and attached to extensible tube. Dust collector incorporates cyclone body for drawing-in of inside air into vortex, cyclone cover fixed to cyclone body and adapted for separating garbage from air by centrifugal force, and dust receiver for receiving separated dust. Cyclone cover has cylindrical case with one closed end. Cover case is provided with first through opening formed in wall zone next to closed end and first garbage channel communicated with first through opening. Dust receiver is communicated with first through opening and provided with cylindrical accumulating case having open end and closed end, and second garbage channel positioned on outer wall of open end of cylindrical accumulating case and communicated with first garbage channel. Cyclone-type dust collector provides for effective dust collection regardless of position of vacuum cleaner during cleaning process. EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation, reduced damage to grid and provision for preventing surrounding objects from being contaminated during cleaning of cyclone-type collector. 9 cl, 4 dwg
