FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, cyclone-type dust catcher.

SUBSTANCE: vacuum cleaner has main casing incorporating engine for creating suction force and filter, connecting hose extending from main casing, suction head for contacting with surface to be cleaned, and extension pipe for connecting suction head with connecting hose. Cyclone-type dust catcher is arranged between connecting hose and extension pipe and comprising connecting pipe communicating with connecting hose and extension pipe for passage of air flow, cyclone casing connected to lower end of connecting pipe and incorporating filtering device, and dust receiver attached to cyclone casing and extending along connecting pipe adjacent to and in contact with at least part of connecting pipe for collecting of solid particles caught by filtering device and for forced displacement of air flow in cyclone flow in dust receiver. Connecting pipe and dust receiver have mated geometric shape of respective contacting surfaces. Dust receiver is made cylindrical. Connecting pipe has profiled surface providing joined contacting with cylindrical part of dust receiver. Dust receiver has circular shape of cross section in horizontal plane. Side of connecting pipe contacting with dust receiver has curvature conforming to contours of cylindrical dust receiver. Vacuum cleaner may comprise handle arranged on cyclone casing and adapted for facilitating simplified usage of vacuum cleaner.

EFFECT: increased efficiency in collecting of relatively large garbage particles and filtering thereof from dust-laden air drawn via suction head, reduced dimensions and simplified usage of dust catcher during cleaning process.
