FIELD: medicine, carpal surgery. SUBSTANCE: the method deals with restoration of carpal seizuring function after its trauma. One should isolate vascular-nervous bundle coming onto the second finger. Osteotomy of the second carpal bone is performed in metaepiphysial area by saving metacarpophalangeal joint and tendon of finger's surface flexor. The tendon should be crossed in area of transplant's proximal part. Osseous fragment with soft tissues and nourishing vessels and nerves should be mobilized. One should open and clean the scars in distal part of the first carpal bone by two oblique incisions. Stump's fragment of the second finger with soft tissues upon nutritive pedicle should be replaced onto the stump of the first finger and fixed with two needles in position of opposition to the fourth and fifth fingers. Tendinous suture is applied onto extensor of the first finger, carpal wounds are sutured with local tissues. Fixing needles should be removed after healing of the first carpal bone to the transplant to provide seizuring functions of the first finger. EFFECT: higher efficiency of operation. 1 ex _
