FIELD: metal working, changeable cup-shaped cutting tips including tips operating by rotation turning method. SUBSTANCE: circular cutting tip includes bearing, rear and front surfaces. Front surface has chip breaker. In order to enlarge using range due to providing stable chip generation at different cutting conditions, distance between chip breaker and cutting edge is different in zones designed for finish and rough working. Chip breaker may be arranged along circle and eccentrically relative to cutting edge. Geometry parameters of chip breaker in zones designed for finish and rough working may be different. Cutting wedge formed by crossing of rear and front surfaces may have different geometry parameters in above mentioned zones. In joining places cutting tip may have additional marks.
