FIELD: medicine, neurosurgery. SUBSTANCE: for dura mater's transplant one should use analogous brephotissue its size being greater than cranial defect. One should carry out drilling in a bone at the edge of cranial defect. Dura mater's transplant center by ligatures made of prolongly resolving material through channels perforated in plate's center. Osseous defect should be closed with a plate to be fixed with ligatures to bones through channels perforated in them. Moreover, cranial defect in wound is applied with sterile transparent and flexible film to apply marks of cranial defect contours onto it together with openings of perforated channels in bones and plate. Then dura mater's transplant together with adjacent film is cut beyond the contour and film marks. Then one should direct ligatures through film marks of openings and, simultaneously, through transplant, film is removed, and transplant should be fixed by ligatures through osseous channels to internal cranial surface. The method enables to increase efficiency of therapy due to more accurate cutting of dura mater by taking into consideration defect's shape and disposition of channels perforated in bones and, also, accuracy in directing fixation ligatures.
