FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves making incision in conjunctiva near limb at 50-80 deg. Scleral tunnel of 5-7 cm in width near the limb in 1-12 o'clock meridian. 0.8 mm paracentesis is carried out at 10 o'clock position. Capsulorhexis is carried out. Hydrosection and hydrodelineation of eye lens is performed. Laser end piece is introduced into the paracentesis. Eye lens is endocapsularily fragmented into four fragments. The fragments are removed into the anterior chamber. Loop is introduced through the scleral tunnel. Nucleus fragment is displaced downwards to posterior pole of the eyeball using the loop and spatula. The fragment is withdrawn via the scleral incision. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; reduced risk of traumatic complications.
