FIELD: electrohydraulic treatment of parts. SUBSTANCE: method used for instance in alumina production to remove process deposits from flexible plate-type parts such as aluminosilicate and iron deposits from Alpha-Laval firm made plates includes placing parts in container, disposing positive and negative electrodes at part surface, immersing container in working liquid, and cleaning by exposure to high-voltage electrical discharge in liquid at the same time displacing positive electrode relative to part surface. Exposure to superhigh-voltage electrical discharge is effected at frequency of 10 to 50 Hz. Plant implementing proposed method has working liquid tank, container, positive and negative electrodes connected to pulse current generator, and positive electrode displacement unit. Positive electrode is made in the form of flexible current lead covered with flexible insulation and thin-wire initiating rod coupled with this electrode by means of connector which is disposed in solid insulation and is made in the form of two electricity conducting strips with flexible current lead in-between on one side and initiating rod, on other; end of the latter is made in the form of loop; flexible insulation of current lead carries multilayer adhesive- tape ring. Proposed process and device ensure high degree of cleaning without leaving residual strain and burns on part surface.
