METHOD FOR CALIBRATING RESERVOIR FOR DETERMINING CAPACITY, APPROPRIATE FOR HEIGHT OF ITS FILLING Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC G01F17/00

Abstract RU 2286549 C1

FIELD: measuring equipment engineering, possible use for determining capacity and calibrating vertical cylindrical reservoirs.

SUBSTANCE: method includes determining areas of horizontal sections of belts of reservoir and determining its capacity using mathematical methods. For this, performed preliminarily is horizontal division of original cross-section of reservoir by measuring perimeter length of first belt of reservoir with following division on perimeter on lengths. Vertical division of original cross-section of reservoir is performed in accordance to technical leveling method. Vertical projection of points of preliminary horizontal division onto level of vertical division is used to determine support points for source original horizontal cross-section of reservoir. By means of electronic tacheometer with distance measuring function in non-reflective mode and by electronic registration of data, measuring of heights of reservoir belts is performed, of inclined distances, horizontal and vertical angles when coordinating points. With consideration of received data, spatial coordinates of supporting points on perimeters of horizontal cross-sections of reservoir are determined. Three-dimensional mathematical model of reservoir is built. On basis of aforementioned model using mathematical interpolation methods areas of horizontal sections of reservoir being checked are determined, on basis of which in its turn capacity of reservoir is calculated.

EFFECT: increased calibration precision, expanded functional capabilities.
