FIELD: ceramics. SUBSTANCE: method comprising heat treatment of aluminosilicate stock, in particular kaolin, grinding of treated stock, screening off undesired-size fractions followed by returning them into grinding stage, granulation of thermally treated aluminosilicate stock at continuous stirring and moistening, drying, preliminary screening of granules followed by grinding of undesired-size fractions, and final baking and screening of granules, is distinguished by that (i) before granulation of thermally treated aluminosilicate stock, 2 to 5% of mineralizer is added having dispersity 10 mcm and following chemical analysis, %: TiO2 in the form of rutile, 31; FeO, 27; SiO2, 13; MnO, 3.8; Cr2O3, 1.7; and MgO 1.1 and (ii) heat treatment is conducted at temperature 1025-1145 C ensuring endothermic effect associated with full decomposition of kaolinite, initiation of mullite crystal formation, and glass phase separation and modification transformations.
