Unit for scanning probe with ultrasonic beam for determining its current position has positioning unit having 6 angular displacement gages and controller. Ultrasonic probe is mounted in positioning unit holder. Controller is connected to the computation unit. The latter represents current ultrasonic probe position on display unit and current graphic data in A- echogram mode when moving the ultrasonic probe in selected scanning plane. EFFECT: low level of noise and disturbances; enhanced effectiveness in producing two-dimensional pictures of brain structures. 5 dwg
