FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves hot rolling of strip from low-carbon steel; cooling and winding into roll; etching; cold rolling; thermal processing and hot zincing. Hot rolling is terminated at temperature of 650-700 C. Cold rolling is performed with total reduction extent of 70-80%. Thermal processing mode includes heating at the rate of 14-27 C to temperature of 540-670 C; repeated heating at the rate of 2.0-4.6 C to temperature of 700-880 C; holding or cooling for 30-50 s to temperature of 700 C, with following cooling at the rate of 8.3-12.5 C/s to hot zincing temperature. Method is used for producing cold-rolled zinced tape used for protecting electric cables.
