SUBSTANCE: device has measuring unit whose body accommodates light radiator installed for motion and telecamera, television set and system of processing of television image of well contour. Measuring unit is provided with additional light indicator located in telecamera vision field of preset distance from rotation axis of main radiator and rigidly connected with the latter, and mechanism of radiators leveling made in the form of ball support with weight. Image processing system has unit for determination of well actual contour in preset sections proceeding from expression given in invention description. EFFECT: higher accuracy and efficiency of determination of deep, curved wells. 5 dwg
