FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves placing mammary gland on diagnostic table of the device fixed by means of belts directly on patient mammary gland, compressing it manually with perforated compression plate until resistance to approaching is achieved and fixing it with X-ray-transparent Scotch films on lateral sides. Mammography is carried out in two orthogonal projections, first direction the X-ray beam in perpendicular to the perforated compression plate. Lesion focus length and width are measured with a compression plate ruler having radiopaque digits visible on X-ray pictures. Puncture needle hole position is marked on the compression plate. Needle length is selected from formula L = L1×tgα, where L1 - is the distance form hinge to marked hole axis on the needle for guiding the puncture needle, α is the angle between the compression plate pressed to the mammary gland and diagnostic table pivotally connected to it. The device has diagnostic table and compression plate provided with marking mesh. The device has belts. The compression plate has ruler having radiopaque digits on the same side with the hinge connecting it to the diagnostic table using X- ray-transparent Scotch films on lateral sides and perforation on the angles of marker mesh angles with hole diameters corresponding to puncture needle diameter.
