FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out two-dimensional echocardiographic examination. Left ventricle cavity outline is estimated and left ventricle end diastolic volume is traced on the echocardiograph screen. Left ventricle cavity cross-section divided into 20 disks is built in this way and left ventricle surface area is determined from a formula where di - is the disk diameter, L is the basal apical size of the left ventricle and m is the scale coefficient. Planned left ventricle area is determined by modeling left ventricle cavity that remains after cardiac aneurysm having been removed, by tracing diastolic end volume of contracting left ventricle part. Then, post-infarction left ventricle aneurysm resection area is determined from difference of initial left ventricle area and planned left ventricle area. Then, left ventricle aneurysm is removed. The post-infarction left ventricle aneurysm resection area is equal to sum of left ventricle cicatrix resection zone area and suture surface zone area when applying left ventricle linear plastic repair or difference of left ventricle cicatrix resection zone area left above the patch and patch area when applying endoventricular plastic repair with synthetic patch. EFFECT: avoided improper left ventricle cavity reduction and deformity after removal of post-infarction aneurysm. 2 dwg
