FIELD: machine engineering, possibly finishing surfaces with use of ultrasonic oscillation energy. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes acoustic system in the form of placed in housing magnetostrictive converter, concentrator connected with said converter and having secured to its end ultrasound irradiator with contact members and through axial opening for passing dowel. Acoustic system is designed for connecting concentrator with ultrasound irradiator and it has end in the form of working tip. Apparatus includes unit for moving acoustic system in three mutually normal planes and fastening pins whose surfaces are coated with material having resilient properties. Unit for moving acoustic system is in the form of frame having ends in the form of forks whose lengthwise axes are normal relative to frame axis. One fork has pin. Second fork arranged at side of concentrator has two openings. Housing has ellipsoidal opening for introducing pin of first fork and also it has openings whose axes are normal relative to lengthwise axis of acoustic system and designed for introducing fastening pins into them and to openings of second fork. EFFECT: improved design, enlarged manufacturing possibilities due to use of different types of ultrasonic oscillations. 3 dwg
