FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves making basic surgical incision. An additional limbal incision is made in the opposite segment. In- and out- punctures in the iris are done with a needle and thread via the additional incision with step width equal to 0.5-1 cm. The thread is pulled under the iris through the pupil using a hook. The thread is thrown over one of supporting members. The thread is stretched and the artificial eye lens is fixed. A supporting member is fixed with immersed suture. The other supporting member is sutured to the iris. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; reliable artificial eye lens fixation in the posterior chamber; reduced risk of traumatic postoperative complications.
