FIELD: polymer production. SUBSTANCE: wear-resistant polytetrafluoroethylene useful as antifriction material is obtained via irradiation of gamma- rays in presence of acetylene at 20 to 100 C and pressure 0,01 to 0.15 MPa until 30-60 kGr dose is absorbed. EFFECT: enabled production of polytetrafluoroethylene containing no dispersed fillers with wear resistance at a level of best filled polytetrafluoroethylene-based materials, which retains 80-90% its initial breaking strength. 1 tbl, 2 ex
