FIELD: metallurgy, particularly, ferroalloys production. SUBSTANCE: method consists in that heat reducing period is conducted into two stages, charge weight portion of the first stage us supplied to hearth prior to beginning of heat in amount of 10-25% of charge weight. Remaining part of charge is added from hopper by portions as soon as melt is formed. In this case, 20-60% of total amount of vanadium pentoxide required for obtained of liquid intermediate product is melted with vanadium pentoxide-aluminum ratio of 1:(0.59-0.90) in weighed portion of the first stage. Remaining amount of vanadium pentoxide is melted with vanadium pentoxide- aluminum ratio of 1: (0.35-0.57) in weighed portion of charge of the second stage. Maintained vanadium pentoxide-lime ratio in charge is 1:(0.2-0.3). Method provides for increase of vanadium recovery by 1.0-1.5%, reduction of aluminum consumption by 2-3% and refractories by 10-15% and production of alloy with more stable content of aluminum and carbon.
