FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device including actuating member is mounted on pipe line for determination of velocity head; this device includes first pressure tube of total pressure and second pressure tube of static pressure of water in pipe line with actuating members at their ends; device is also provided with measuring tube with ultrasonic transducer at one end and actuating member at other end and two rods. Measuring tube is provided with side branch pipe bent in direction of second pressure tube; free end of said branch pipe is provided with actuating member. Each actuating member is mounted for performing reciprocating displacement along axis of symmetry of respective tube. Electronic unit includes standard pulse generator , sounding impulse generator, amplifier, rectifier, electronic switch, logic OR-gate, logic AND-gate and momentary and total flow rate recording and indicating circuit. EFFECT: increased resolving power; avoidance of periodic correction of measurement results depending on temperature of water in pipe line. 3 cl, 4 dwg
