SUBSTANCE: piston incorporating reset spring and placed in actuating unit case takes full water pressure Px and static pressure Po within pipeline through metering tubes communicating with inlet channels of case. Two base surfaces are set and aligned, respectively, with first and second radiating surfaces and with first and second sounding-pulse recording surfaces (working surfaces of four ultrasonic transducers). Distances between radiating surfaces and piston that is displaced by water flowing in pipeline are periodically sounded. Instant discharge is determined by number of information signals shaped within one metering cycle; total number of information signals generated in the course of metering indicates total discharge.
