FIELD: metering of efficiency of main pipe-lines. SUBSTANCE: water impact Px and static Po pressures in pipe-line act on piston with return spring placed in case of actuator via measurement tubes connected to inlet conduits of case. First and second base planes are set at equal distances from plane of spatial position of piston in absence of water in pipe-line. First and second additional base planes are set along direction of action of pressure Po on piston in symmetry relative to second base plane. First radiation plane and first registration plane are matched with first base plane and second radiation and registration planes are matched with additional base planes. Periodic probing of distances from radiation planes to piston is conducted. Number of information signals formed during current cycle is used to evaluate instantaneous flow rate and summary number of information signals formed in process of measurement is used to estimate total flow rate. EFFECT: enhanced resolving power. 2 cl, 3 dwg
