FIELD: membrane technique; cleaning liquids by microfiltration and ultrafiltration methods in water supply systems, food-processing, microbiological and medical industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes filtering through membrane and periodic cleaning of this membrane by means of cylindrical elements freely positioned on fixed membrane and rolled over surface of membrane by means of movable screen at simultaneous delivery of flushing fluid for removal of contaminants. Device proposed for realization of this method has housing with supply and discharge branch pipes, fixed disk-type filtering membranes, screen elements mounted rotatably and cylindrical elements made from porous elastic material and freely positioned between membrane and screen element for rolling over membrane surface.
