SUBSTANCE: proposed method is intended for transmitting power control data to base station controller in base- station transceiver system of mobile communication system. Base- station transceiver system receives information about forward- channel power control mode pointing to slow power control from base station controller and transmits information about forward- channel power control mode to mobile station. Base-station transceiver system extracts erasing pointer bit which serves as power control command during period of frame of backward- channel pilot signal received from mobile station in compliance with information about forward-channel power control mode, determines status of erasing indicator bit, and transfers additional channel message including status information to base station controller.
