SUPPORT OF BREAKAGE FACE OF THICK STEEP COAL SEAM Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: mining: applicable in mining of coal and other minerals from steep beds. SUBSTANCE: support of breakage face of thick steep coal seam has supporting beam, upper roofing, rams, guards, hydraulic props installed square to supporting beam and upper roofing whose ends are rigidly connected to hydraulic props. Installed in supporting beam is drilling tool kinematically connected with roofing by springs and hydraulic jacks. Canopy and roofing lower surfaces have through holes. Secured rigidly to roofing lower surface is lock mechanism containing tubular telescopic rotator, spring-loaded turning lever, two-sided cam and spring-loaded locking pin installed in coincided holes of roofing and canopy. Electrical rotator of drilling tool is kinematically connected with lower surface of supporting beam. Unit of electric and hydraulic control valves are located on hydraulic prop below level of supporting beam. Two supporting beams are installed horizontally and parallel to each other and rigidly interconnected by frame. Two hydraulic props are interconnected by frame, guard, roofing and foundation beam. EFFECT: higher efficiency of support due to excluded slipping of support and increased stability of installation due to involving in process of mineral mass. 6 dwg
