FIELD: electric measurement technology, determination of path of short-circuit current in branched connection, identification of damaged section of distribution system. SUBSTANCE: proposed indicator of short-circuit current utilizes simplest designs of current and voltage relays with magnetic circuit common for both relays. Indicator element comes in the form of hollow cylinder with two ribs of different weight made in its side surface that is freely put on rotation axis of rotatable armature of current relay. Spatial arrangement of both armatures of relays in vertical position relative to poles of magnetic circuit is chosen from possibility of achievement of specified setting current of current relay and with due account of operation of armature of current relay with turn of indicator element by mechanical action of armature on rib of larger weight of indicator element and of possibility of hooking rib of larger weight of indicator element by catch of armature of voltage relay. EFFECT: raised sensitivity of indicator of short-circuit current by operation current and time, secured storage of information on occurred short-circuit for indefinite time and automatic self-reset of indicator element to initial position when branched connection is energized. 5 cl, 4 dwg
