SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel derivatives of hydroxyiminoalkanoic acid of the formula (I) wherein R1 represents oxazolyl optionally substituted with 1-2 substituents taken among lower alkyl, phenyl, thienyl, furyl; thiazolyl optionally substituted with 1-2 substituents taken among lower alkyl, phenyl; unsubstituted quinolinyl and so on; X represents a linkage or group NR6 wherein R6 represents hydrogen atom or C1-4-alkyl; n is a whole number from 1 to 3; Y represents oxygen atom or group NR7 wherein R7 represents hydrogen atom; ring A represents benzene ring optionally substituted with one or two C1-4-alkoxy-group; p is a whole number from 1 to 3; R2 represents phenyl optionally substituted with lower alkyl, halogen atom and so on; unsubstituted furyl; unsubstituted pyridyl; pyridinyl-1-oxide; q is a whole number from 0 to 6; m represents 0 or 1; R3 represents hydroxy-group, lower alkoxy-group or -NR9R10 wherein R9 and R10 represent similar or different groups taken among hydrogen atom, lower alkyl and lower alkylsulfonyl; R4 and R5 represent similar or different groups taken among hydrogen atom or lower alkyl; or their salt. Invention relates also to pharmaceutical composition eliciting hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic effects containing compound of the formula (I) and pharmacologically acceptable carrier and to agent used for regulation of retinoid receptors containing compound of the formula (I). Invention provides preparing novel derivatives of hydroxyiminoalkanoic acid showing hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic effects.
