FIELD: railway transport; permanent way. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sphere of mechanization of track facilities and it can be used in assembling, repair and maintenance of track skeletons. According to proposed method, nut of clamp bolt is turned on, thus compressing spring plate by vertical load at required force to press rail to baseplate. Vertical load is applied to nut of clamp bolt at least in two steps turning on the nut of clamp bolt and stopping the nut at each step when torque corresponding to applied vertical force is attained. At second step vertical load corresponds to required rail-to-baseplate pressing force and loading is done at speed corresponding to translational speed of travel of rotating nut. Device for fastening rail to tie baseplates contains running gear for moving device along track rails with nut runners fitted on its portal frame. Each nut runner includes drive electric motor and control circuit and reduction gear whose output shaft is furnished with spindle with socket wrench moved longitudinally in vertical plane under action of power double-acting hydraulic cylinder controlled by four-way three-position hydraulic distributor placed in hydraulic circuit. Output shaft of reduction gear is furnished with electromagnetic cut-in clutch setting spindle in rotation. Four-way three-position hydraulic distributor is made to differential circuit of connection of power hydraulic cylinder. Circuit includes current relay to control electromagnetic clutch and four-way three-position hydraulic distributor. Hydraulic circuit includes pressure transmitters and pilot-controlled check valve. By signal of one pressure transmitter electromagnetic clutch is cut in connecting spindle with output shaft of reduction gear and by signal of other pressure transmitter pilot- controlled check valve closes both spaces of hydraulic cylinder. EFFECT: provision of required pressing of rail to baseplate at minimum spread of pressure values owing to simple and reliable control of force corresponding to torque.
