RAIL TRACK INTERMEDIATE FASTENING NUT RUNNER Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; track maintenance and repair. SUBSTANCE: device has running gear for moving along track rails with nut runners installed on running gear. Nut runners have vertically movable socket wrenches of spindless. Each nut runner has reduction gear with parallel driving and driven shafts and two pairs of driving and driven gears for transmitting higher or lower rotational speed to driven shaft. Gears are rigidly secured on one shaft and are fitted for sliding on the other. Sleeve is fitted on shaft with freely sliding gears between the gears for travel along shaft. Sleeve is provided with screw chamfers at one end for engagement with screw chamfers of gear designed for conveying higher speed to driven shaft. Cams on other end of sleeve serve for engagement with cams of second gear of shaft. Sleeve has lever shifter with power locking spring engaging with socket wrench in its upper position through shifting lever. EFFECT: improved tightening of intermediate fastening nuts, reduced time taken for tightening, provision of high efficiency. 2 dwg
