FIELD: mechanical engineering; vehicle brake systems. SUBSTANCE: component with first-kind phase transition is introduced into friction element of proposed vehicle brake system. Phase transition of said component is combined with polymorphous transformation of crystal lattice within temperature range of 150 and 350•C, thus providing absorption of heat liberated at braking. Content of said component in friction composition of brake element is 30-50% of total volume of friction composition. Iron carbide, iron sulfide, copper sulfide and niobium oxide can be used as above indicated component. EFFECT: simple design, high operating reliability. 3 cl, 1 dwg
