FIELD: glassmaking furnaces. SUBSTANCE: proposed glassmaking furnace has space isolated from surrounding medium with charge or glass melt heaters made from refractor materials and arranged inside it. Mixture of fuel and oxidizer is burnt at inlet of tubes to furnace space. After outlet from furnace space, tubes are communicated with high-temperature electrolyzer for separation of superheated water steam at temperature about 1500 C into hydrogen and oxygen (hydrogen is fuel and oxygen is oxidizer). Electrolyzer is communicated with hydrogen and oxygen storage containers by means of pipes. Refractory material for manufacture of tubes is selected from group of materials which do not change their form at temperature of burning hydrogen jet. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of use of thermal energy. 1 dwg
