DRYING PLANT Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: drying equipment; food-processing, milk, chemical and pharmaceutical industries for production of dry products. SUBSTANCE: drying plant includes reservoir for starting product, vertical drying chamber bounded at the top by shield with air duct located above it, injectors mounted two opposite sides of drying chamber, inert carrier, suction and discharge fans, heat generator, air ducts, pipe lines and cyclone. Mounted in front of starting material reservoir is pressure accumulator; pump for delivery of starting product is mounted between starting material reservoir and drying chamber. Drying chamber is made in form of two vertical chambers of varying section: inlet chamber and drying chamber interconnected by smaller bases; it is filled with inert carrier in form of balls. Mounted on housing of drying chamber in zone of maximum spray of starting material is heat source. Tray is secured on bottom of chamber; shield and tray are made in form of funnels with concave surface directed inside drying chamber. Cyclone consists of volute and cone. Air duct of varying section is used for connecting the drying chamber with cyclone; mounted at the top of cyclone volute is branch pipe discharging gaseous agent, filter and exhaust fan.
