METHOD OF WATER PURIFICATION AND THE SYSTEM FOR ITS REALIZATION Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2219135 C1

FIELD: water purification. SUBSTANCE: invention presents a method to purify water. In the run of the technological process they perform: a primary filtration of the source water up to the complete removal of suspended substances, an electrochemical treatment of the water, its multi-stage sedimentation in the module of sedimentation, a repeated filtration of the water, a final purification of the water, as well as finishing sorption filtration. The electrochemical treatment of the water is conducted by action on the water flow by a pulsating electric current in a direction perpendicular to a traffic route of water flow, that is directed in parallel to surfaces of electrodes, and transition of water flow through each electrode is exercised in the zones with increased density of the current in the beginning and at the end of the cycle of the electrochemical treatment. At the outlet of the apparatus of the electrochemical treatment two independent and separate from each other water flows with different parameters of acidity and alkalinity are formed, each of which is again directed to the sedimentation into the corresponding sedimentation column, and then into the container of the sedimentation module, or directly into the container of the module of sedimentation, where the both flows are joined to each other and neutralized. The final water purification is exercised using at least one ion-exchange material or an ion-exchange material and a sorption material. The system contains in series connected to each other the filtering device, the module of sedimentation, at least one more filtering device at least one ion-exchange column or, at least, one ion-exchange column and one sorption filter, the final water purification module and one more additional sorption filter. EFFECT: complex purification of drinking water and sanitation of sewages of industrial enterprises. 15 cl, 7 dwg, 2 tbl, 2 ex
