ANTILOCK-ANTISKID BRAKE SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2221715 C2

FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in designing brake systems excluding impulse braking method, i.e. in development antilock-antiskid brake systems for road vehicles. In proposed systems, braking process is carried out at almost constant volume of working medium, and change of state of working medium is provided by changing linear dimensions of resilient element arranged out of the zone of brake drive and its slave member. The purpose of such design is to increase utilization of coefficient of adhesion and adaptation to changes in coefficient. Mathematical models of wheels in process of braking are provided, output parameter of which is displacement - changing of linear parameters of resilient elements which, in combination with deceleration at braking, makes it possible to provide automatic emergency braking using a computer. Such combination makes it possible to carry out braking to ϕ-s diagram without enlarging and shifting of cycles to increase sliding coefficients. EFFECT: provision of high braking efficiency and sufficient stability at braking. 5 dwg
