FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: centrifugal apparatus has case, working tool, gas static vertical supporting unit with bearing surfaces made in the form of spherical part with foot connected to shaft and step bearing provided with central opening for feeding gaseous working fluid to bearing surfaces, gas supply system, and radial supporting device comprising bearing unit and flexible supporting unit. The latter is composed of upper supporting base rigidly connected to bearing unit, lower supporting base rigidly connected to case, and flexible supporting member arranged between supporting bases. Mechanical transmission has three shafts sequentially connected for intersecting pins, with one of shafts made telescopic. Foot is positioned so as to form gap between bearing surfaces. Foot has radius of bearing surface providing arrangement of curvature center higher than center of rotor weight. EFFECT: increased efficiency in providing processes inducing substantial dynamic imbalance of rotor and enhanced reliability in operation. 1 dwg
