FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: installation comprises housing, working member mounted on the shaft, gas-static unit with carrying surface made of a part of sphere whose thrust journal is connected with the shaft of the working member to form a rotor. The thrust bearing of the unit has central port for supplying gas to the carrying surfaces. In addition, the installation has bearing unit mounted on the shaft of the working member, flexible bearing unit which connects the bearing unit with the housing, gas supply system connected with the central port of the thrust bearing, and drive with a gearing transmission composed of three shafts connected in series for permitting axes to be crossed. The bearing unit comprises movable bearing member connected with the bearing unit, unmovable bearing member connected with the housing, and flexible bearing member interposed between the movable and unmovable bearing members. The shaft of the working member is set in the bearing for permitting a space between the carrying surfaces. The installation has the second flexible bearing unit mounted above the working member and composed of rotatable bearing member made of a shell and secured to the working member, at least three rotation bodies mounted on the axle, and bearing members, one end each of which is connected with the housing for radial movements and is spring-loaded to it. The other ends are connected with the axle of the rotation body. The shell and rotation bodies are mounted with a spaced relation to each other.
