PROTECTIVE SCREEN TO ABSORB ROAD NOISES Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: equipment protecting against effects of noise and sound waves and for their suppression, building structures ensuring normal acoustic conditions, specifically, protective screens for road noise absorption. SUBSTANCE: protective screen to absorb road noises has frame structure, noise-absorbing member built into it, rear wall and front wall made of front plates placed in parallel with slit traps between them overlapped from inside by gauze membrane and columns carrying bearing members fixing frame structure. Salient feature of invention lies in manufacture of acoustic noise-absorbing member in the form of three-layer flat pack with thin outer layers of flexible needle- pierced material based on polymer or synthetic fibers with surface density of 200-350 g/sq m on side of gauze membrane and of 350-950 g/sq m on side of rear wall and intermediate thickened layer in the form of single or several sheets of mat produced from basalt or mineral fibers or from their combination with volume density of 25-100 kg/sq .pierced by threads or wire with cell spacing of 100-300 mm anchored of frame structure with formation of resonance chambers on side of gauze membrane and on side of rear wall with relation of volumes of spaces of resonance chambers, of volume of three-layer flat pack of acoustic noise-absorbing member and summary volume of slit traps in front wall from 1:1:1 to 1.0:0.3:0.1 and in manufacture of gauze membrane with surface density 35-95 kg/sq m from polymer or synthetic fibers joined thermally.
