METHOD ESTABLISHING RNA IN COMPOSITION OF RNA-CONTAINING COMPONENT OF BIOLOGICAL PREPARATION Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: biochemistry, pharmaceutical, medical, biological and food industries. SUBSTANCE: method is intended to control quantity of RNA and its salts in production series of RNA-containing preparations. Proposed method of quantitative determination of RNA in composition of polycomponent preparation provides for its treatment with 0.4M solution of ammonium sulfate at room temperature in the course of 5-20 min, clarification of obtained solution by centrifuging, if necessary, measurement of its optical density at 260 nm and computation of content of RNA in tested preparation by difference of values of optical density in experimental and check specimen including all components, but one to be established. Use of method ensures possibility of quick and sufficiently accurate establishment of quantity of RNA in bacterial preparations and other polycomponent biological systems and materials carrying protein and/or living cells. EFFECT: possibility of quick and sufficiently accurate establishment of quantity of RNA in bacterial preparations and other biological systems and materials.
