FIELD: medicine, hematology. SUBSTANCE: invention involves isolation of DNA from lymphocytes of peripheral venous blood by method of phenol-chloroform extraction, polymorphism genotyping of gene IL-6 promoter region at site 174 G/C by method of polymerase chain reaction of DNA synthesis followed by restriction analysis. After amplification and restrictions DNA fragments are separated by electrophoresis method in 7% polyacrylamide denaturating gel and analyzed undert ultraviolet illumination using trans- illuminator device. The presence of DNA fragments of size 21 + 122 + 45 nucleotide pairs is explained as allele cytosine C and of size 31 + 167 nucleotide pairs as guanine - G. Sluggish-progressing course of disease is diagnosed in detection in the patient with multiple myeloma in onset of disease with genotype CC.
