SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict the development of obesity in children living in the Republic of Bashkortostan. DNA is isolated from peripheral venous blood lymphocytes. Amplification of the rs3803300 locus of the AKT1 protein kinase 1 gene and the rs279845 locus of the GABRA2 gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor gene is carried out. When AG or AA genotypes of the rs3803300 polymorphic locus of the AKT1 gene and AT or AA genotypes of the rs279845 polymorphic locus of the GABRA2 gene are detected, the risk of developing obesity in a child is predicted.

EFFECT: method provides an increase in the accuracy of the prediction by identifying factors predisposing to the development of the disease.
