SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pulse engineering. The device for generating subnanosecond pulses has a pulsed voltage source, a shaping line (SL), an internal electrode which is connected on one side to the high-voltage terminal of the pulsed voltage source and on the other - through a discharger-peaker to the internal disc electrode of a radial shaping line and through a capacitor to the internal electrode of a transmission line which is connected to a load, and an annular discharger, where external electrodes of the shaping line, radial shaping line and transmission line are their housings and are connected to each other. In the internal electrode of the radial shaping line there is a circular recess in which the internal disc electrode of the radial shaping line is fitted. The recess is closed by a circular cover, and the annular discharger is placed on its inner edge. The annular discharger can be formed by the surface of the circular cover and a circular projection on the internal disc electrode of the radial shaping line opposite the inner edge of the circular cover. The annular discharger can be formed by the surface of the internal disc electrode of the radial shaping line and the circular projection on the circular cover directly on its inner edge.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of generating subnanosecond pulses.
