Abstract RU 2226175 C1

FIELD: production of alumina with the use of methods of decomposing of aluminate solutions by processing with carbonic acid containing gases. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has casing with cover, drive, shaft, connected to drive through coupling, gas disperser and mixing devices. Gas distributing device positioned in upper part of apparatus is composed of individual segments, each equipped with grids, and is attached to casing by means of brackets. Active gas is delivered into apparatus through pipelines. Distributing device blades are composed of two parts rigidly joined to one another. Mixing device has cross-piece. Flexible tie-rods, "sweep rakes", blade-type mixer composed of two parts and arranged between cross-piece and "sweep rakes". Parts of mixer are inclined to different sides relative to bottom and are separated from one another by vertical plate. Apparatus is further equipped with solution supply and discharge branch pipes, suction pipe, and hatch. Such construction prevents solid phase of aluminum hydroxide from settling and compaction in lower zone of apparatus.
