FIELD: small-arms ammunition for firing from short small arms (pistols, submachine guns, and the like). SUBSTANCE: bullet has envelope made in form of sleeve, jacket and steel bullet slug with point of bullet projecting beyond open end of envelope. Section of driving part of bullet is made in form of truncated cone whose lesser diameter exceeds or is equal to diameter of fields of barrel bore but is lesser than diameter of bullet. Height of cone is equal to 1/3-1/2 length of driving part of bullet. According to second version, tail part of jacket is made in form of truncated cone with compensated recess between it and envelope; lesser diameter of cone exceeds or is equal to diameter of fields of barrel bore minus doubled thickness of envelope on driving part of bullet but is lesser than diameter of bullet minus doubled thickness of envelope wall on driving part of bullet. EFFECT: improved closely-grouped fire due to retained stability of deformation over entire length of driving part of bullet. 4 cl, 3 dwg
