FIELD: mechanical engineering+ADs- internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines with system of fuel injection or fuel-air mixture injection into working cylinder. Use in made of engine having compression cylinder with piston mechanically coupled with working piston. Compression cylinder communicates with working cylinder through connecting channel. Loop scavenging of working cylinder is effected. In process of scavenging, air from compression cylinder is delivered directly into combustion chamber of working cylinder tangentially to its inner surface. Reciprocation of compression piston is effected at frequency twice as great at frequency of working piston movement. Before each stroke of compression piston corresponding to scavenging of working cylinder, fuel delivery into compression cylinder is stopped, and after termination of scavenging stroke, fuel delivery is restored. Method makes it possible to evacuated waste gases from blind zones of working cylinder and combustion chamber. EFFECT: improved composition of fuel mixture, increased engine power output. 2 cl, 3 dwg
